Jawaharlal Nehru University

JNU full form is Jawaharlal Nehru University which is a major research public university named after the first Prime Minister of India “Jawaharlal Nehru”. It is the world’s renowned university of advanced research and teaching. JNU is ranked no.1 by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and received the Best University Award from the President in 2017.

The university was established on 22 April 1969 with the idea to have a university that is accessible to both rich and poor and offers world-class learning in both social sciences and applied sciences. Some famous personalities who finished their studies at this university are Baburam Bhattarai (36th PM of Nepal), Ali Zeidan (24th PM of Libya), Amitabh Kant (CEO of NITI Aayog), S.
