Computer-Aided Design

CAD full form is Computer Aided Design. As the name suggests, it is used to create or improve the quality of the designs. These designs are mainly used in manufacturing plants. CAD applications became popular in booking patents for the creators of design. CAD has two main branches or types: 1st type of CAD is used to create technical drawings using computer software and mechanical designs and is known as Mechanical Design Automation (MDA). 2nd type of CAD is used to create electronic system designing known as Electronic Design Automation (EDA). The students who wish to create a career in electronic/mechanical engineering in design can choose to learn either vector-based graphics or raster graphics in CAD.
