Border Road Organisation

The full form of BRO is the Border Road Organisation. BRO maintains and develops the road networks of friendly neighboring countries and also India’s border areas. The formation of the Border Road Organisation was done on the 7th of May 1960. The parent organization of VRO is the Ministry of Defense and the headquarter is in New Delhi. The Personnel from the General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF) and the officers from the Border Roads Engineering Services (BRES) form the parent cadre of the Borders Roads Organisation. Under the Ministry of Defence and the General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF), the Border Road Organisation consists of Border Roads Wing.
