Below Poverty Line

Below Poverty Line is the full form of BPL. The government of India uses it as a parameter for individuals and households who need their help. Different states use different parameters for Below Poverty Line. Due to the survey conducted in 2002 present criteria is based on it. According to international standards, an income of Rs. 150 per head is defined as extreme poverty. According to this estimate around 12.4%, Indians are extremely poor. That means they have a hard time fulfilling the basic food needs and it doesn’t include health care and education.
BPL is British Physical Laboratories. It is an Indian electronics company. It was founded in 1963 in Palakkad Kerala by T.P.G. Nambiar. The industry they deal with is electronics. They make medical equipment, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves and audio equipment. They have 250 employees and the headquarter of British Physical Laboratories is in Bangalore Karnataka India.
