Ariane Passenger Payload Experiment
Ariane Passenger Payload Experiment is the full form of APPLE. It was ISRO’s first indigenous experimental communication satellite C-Band transponder. It was launched on 19th June 1981 and the rocket that was used during that time was named Ayaan-1. It was deactivated on 19th September 1983 the duration of this mission was 2 years 3 months. The Launch site for this mission was Kourou ELA-1 and the Mass of the satellite was 350 kilograms.
