This is a tricky question! Here the interviewer wants to know whether you are joining this company just for some reason or you actually wanted to work in this organization. Try to be fair with your answer but with some valid reasoning. Your answer should involve some factors such as learning, knowledge gaining, practical experiences, and professional development.

4. How did you handle meeting at a tight deadline?

You have to give a very straightforward answer here. Whatever is your way of handling or working in your day-to-day routine; just tell that. Also, ensure to highlight if something with priority or rush request comes in the middle of some other task how you manage that. Try to go point-wise and mention all the steps involved in the process from reprioritizing your queue to talking to the manager for the same.

5. How would you change the situation where you require some tools to be successful, but they aren’t provided to you?

Here one needs to create a solid use case for the same. Ensure to add all the pros and cons of that and focus more on the pros obviously. Mention how this tool is going to help you and also make sure to add the ROI (return on investment). This is something leadership focused on if they are impressed with the ROI, then they will definitely think to invest on the tool that you are demanding.

7. You have a project due in one hour but a more important emergency that affects business needs to be fixed immediately, what do you do?

I will shift from project to business need as the business is always the priority for us. But before shifting, I would ensure to convey the same to my manager and will also raise the flag that while I am doing this the project will get hampered. So that they can work on finding the way to improve the project as well or can assign that to someone else. If nothing is doable, then they or maybe I can raise it to the client.

8. How do you imagine a typical day of an employee in Bloomberg?

Ensure your answer should not be general like you walk into the office, greet people, and work on the tasks that are assigned to you. This is the obvious thing that you have to do in any job.
