Automated Teller Machine

An automatic teller machine is a full form of ATM. This machine is an electronic telecommunications device that helps people to perform financial transactions such as cash withdrawals, funds transfer, account statements, deposits, and detailed account information at any time. It is also known with different names in different countries e.g. in Canada it is called an Automatic Banking Machine (ABM) although ATM is also commonly used in Canada. In British English, the terms cashpoint and cash machine are used.
